After graduating from Kyoto Saga University of Arts she is constantly creating her works by using the acrylic materials and with the spaces. In a sense the translucent acrylic material gifts us a floating impression without a feeling of weight rather than the presence as the material. Under her understanding the sense enough, she creates her world unified the works and the space. From this characteristic, she created many permanent installation works in architectural spaces. One of most historical installation works is in Monka-do (文華堂） of Manpuku-ji temple on Mt. Obaku, in Uji city, Kyoto.

Artist Statement

The photographs are transferred onto transparent acrylic boards, which are then composed of layers of transparent boards, and the thickness of the object is created while sealing my thoughts and wishes into each fault. In a sense, the transparent acrylic sheet gives an image of floating rather than substantial, so it can create a mysterious feeling of integration with the work in the space where it is displayed. Goldfish, flowers, birds, grass, insects, and all living things that I transfer onto transparent acrylic have their own perspective. Through my work, I would like to find out where the situation is from that point of view, change the angle of that point of view, and reflect on that situation from a new perspective, in order to reaffirm the convenience of living, the space and time that surrounds us, and feel the pain and pleasure of living.
